Hi,

Been using DisplayFusion for the last 5 years, and it is an exceptional piece of software.

At the moment I'm running DisplayFusion 9.4.3 on the latest Windows 10 Pro (17763.292) and I noticed that when I lock my PC (Win+L), the display fusion taskbar on my secondary monitor takes 1-2 seconds to disappear and then the lock screen saver/image never comes back on. I just get a blue image on the primary screen and black image on the secondary.

I saw here that someone pointed out yet another half-job done by Microsoft (who would've thought) where DisplayFusion was being drawn over the lock screen. My guess is that the fix for this bug (i.e. hide/close the 2nd taskbar when the PC is locked) is preventing the lock screen from showing properly.

I closed DisplayFusion entirely and the Windows lockscreen comes up as expected.

Displayfusion Settings:
[ No ] Allow DF to manage the Windows Lock Screen
[ No ] Allow DF to manage the Screen Saver

Is there something I can do to prevent this from happening please?

It shouldn't have anything to do with the taskbar. Do you have any Trigger rules configured in DisplayFusion, maybe one for explorer.exe, or a *.* rule?

Well spotted, yes I do, I move every new window to the mouse cursor monitor. And you're right, if I disable that rule the lockscreen works fine.

The other alternative is to disable the lockscreen altogether from DF Windows 10 - Hide Windows Lock Screen.

Is there a setting that would allow me to have the best of both worlds? :)

I believe we've fixed this up in 9.5 Beta 1 already. Could you try updating and let me know how it goes? You can enable beta update checks on the Settings > Options tab.

Thanks!

Keith, sorry for the delay, I didn't get notified for your reply I'm afraid.
It all works now, thanks!

Displayfusion has been my all time favourite software since day 1, even more so now. Keep up the good work, and never accept an offer to work for Microsoft, please! :)

For the longest time, I was trying to figure out why the black 'window' used to blank out extended displays on the lock screen kept ending up on my primary display, and this is why.

Is there a way to keep this setting active, but somehow exclude the lock screen from the trigger?

@jasoncollege24: It should be fixed up in 9.5 Beta 1. If you update to that, you should be able to keep the Trigger rule without it breaking the lock screen.
