I have the taskbar set up vertically on the left side of the screen.
This position is by far the best for having many programs open and reading text/websites.
However, I noticed two bugs in DisplayFusion, that disappears when I move the taskbar to the bottom.

1. Typing while DF start menu is open is ignored instead of opening the search in the primary window.
2. Clicking on the DF start menu button has a delay of 2 seconds before something happens.

I have my DF taskbar along the right. When I click on the Start button on that taskbar, the start menu shows in the middle of the screen. Then when I click Start again (twice, once to close the menu and once to reopen it), it shows up halfway between the middle and the corner where I clicked. Once again, and it shows up correctly by the start button.

Could you guys attach copies of your troubleshooting info? Here are the steps:
  • Open the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Click the "Copy to Clipboard" button
  • Paste the text into a text file (please don't paste the text directly into your reply, the formatting gets garbled and makes it difficult to parse)
  • Reply with the file attached

sure, thanks for the walkthrough!

Except, that at this very moment it is working properly.
Even going so far that the search is opening in the right screen.

What I changed was:
1. Reinstall Cherry KeyMan Keyboard Manager
2. Uninstall Avira Antivir 2016
3. Install Bitdefender Total Security 2017

Don't know if Avira or Keyman were making problems, but now I can not reproduce this error.

In case it's helpful anyway, I attached the troubleshooting tab.

So, I restarted now and the problem is back.
DF: windows button works with 1-2s delay, search doesn't work
Windows bar: all fine.
See log2.txt

I dragged the windows bar to the other monitor and it worked fine there, DF-bar now on the primary screen had still the problems.
I changed it to display on bottom, still the same problems.
I changed it back to how it was originally, now it works fine again.
See log3.txt for when it worked fine again.

I was able to reproduce the search issue and have added that to our list to fix up.

Regarding the 1-2 second delay when opening the Start menu, does it open on the primary monitor immediately, and then just take 1-2 seconds to move over to the second monitor? Or does nothing happen at all for 1-2 seconds?

Thanks for the reply!
First the current scenario: I start the PC, DF starts automatically, windows taskbar is left side of the primary screen, DF-taskbar is on the left side secondary screen.

primary screen: I click and instantly the menu opens.
secondary screen: I click, nothing happens on all screens, then the startmenu appears on the correct position on secondary screen.

Now I move windows bar to the secondary screen, DF appears automatically on the primary screen.
-> same behavior.

Now I move windows bar to the primary screen, DF appears automatically on the secondary screen.
-> DF-bar start menu appears instantly.
