As we all know, even Windows 8.1 has serious hidpi problems with apps not designed for it.

I'm forced to use a lot of applications for work (AV integration, so Crestron in particular). When I leave Windows up to scaling, it scales too much. I only have Windows scaling setting at 150%. When I disable it for the app only in App Compatibility settings, its far too small.

So my solution would be for when certain apps are launched, that my resolution is changed to 1920x1080, and Windows scaling is reverted to 100%. Otherwise, if I just change resolution, text is way too big.

I know normally I have to log off and back in to see these changes.

Any way of accomplishing this on the fly?

Unfortunately it's not possible to change the DPI settings without logging out and logging in, as far as we know :(

If you do find a way, we'd love to hear how you did it though :)

Thanks!
