I can disable notifications for Display Fusion in windows 10 but that seems to be overkill for this. I haven't found a way to stop the periodic "Save Window Positions" that I have setup so windows get restored after a waking the computer or unlocking it after power save.

Any update on this? Really would like to disable the notification when I "Save Window Position" every minute. Running 9.6.1 and I don't see an obvious way to disable the notification yet. Now I have disabled all notifications from DisplayFusion in Windows settings but that means I risk missing other notifications from DisplayFusion.

There is actually! In the Settings > Advanced Settings, enable this option "General: Disable Tray Notifications for Background Calls."
