So, I'm trying to get a teal colour to match my theme, but right now whenever i put the custom text colour onto the clock, is does this zebra effect where some of it isnt even coloured.

it definitely *pops*, thats for sure, but its an eyesore to look at. ive restarted multiple times, used quotations, restarted df every time as well, done multiple colours and its intensity varies.

this is the current colour, but this is also the nicest its looked in terms of whats happening

PS, any way we can colour the windows logo at all? the theme im using colours it on the main screen but not DF's taskbar

Hi Kohl,

Strange, Could you send me a copy of your troubleshooting info? Here are the steps:

  • Open the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button
  • Reply with the file attached

I don't believe we have a way to change the start icon colour, but let me double check with our developers on that :)

Thanks!

Of course! here we are :) I have been using a CleoDesktop msstyles theme that i bought, incredible work that man does, and i have this teal colour set to my taskbar, i absolutely love it, im just trying to execute it on both monitors now :)

so yeah, thats kind of the end goal of switching up the colour profile of the clock and the main windows logo, as this (gyazo) is what the normal taskbar on my main monitor looks like

Hi Kohl,

Interesting, if you disable that theme, does the colour issue go away on your DisplayFusion taskbars?

Thanks!

Hi Kohl,

Could you send me over a backup of your DisplayFusion Settings? You can grab them in the Options tab of the DisplayFusion Settings window, using the "Export Settings" button.

Thanks!

Hi Kohl,

Thanks for sending that over. I can't seem to reproduce this on my end. Could you send me over a screenshot of your Windows Colour Settings?

Thanks!

Hi, I reinstalled with fresh settings and everythings working as it should be now, i have noticed though the text row height doesnt actually raise or lower based on a value, but instead moves the date and the time opposite values based on whats entered, (trying to raise both by literally 1 pixel, im quite OCD)

so, after a few hours of fiddling around, i realize in hindsight the error that ive been experiencing is that the clock on DF taskbar has some element of transparency when coloured.

I was watching netflix taskbar was up and i could see somw of the show through my clock text, plus multiple wallpaper changes, different "effect"

black wallpaper executes it perfectly though, of course

Hi Kohl,

You are correct, adjusting that setting will move the two lines together, or further apart. There isn't a way to move both lines up/down.

That's interesting about the translucency. It was appearing based on the wallpaper you had as well? Were you using a solid colour wallpaper, or and image/video?

Thanks!

Interesting okay, and yeah ive realized it takes my wallpaper no matter what, and then if im in a fullscreen video such as youtube netflix or twitch, it will play through the clock 100% of the time, which is weird as i dont have transparency effects enabled on the pc or colouring enabled either

Hi Kohl,

Ah yep, it looks like when you set a custom colour, it loses the transparency. I was able to reproduce the issue on my end, so I've added this to our list to look into. We'll be sure to let you know if we have any news on it in the future.

Thanks!

Sounds good! for now im keeping it coloured, with a wallpaper thats more dimly lit in the corner, and hidden during videos/fullscreen applications to fix the problem.

Glad I could help identifying a bug :P hope to see colouring the Start Menu Icon as well in the future!

This issue should be fixed up in the latest beta, available here:https://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta. Please let me know if you still run into any trouble after updating.

Thanks!
