I think it would be really neat if you could mix the single wallpapers in with multi-monitor backgrounds because I have a large collection of wallpapers that I want to keep using. I also like the idea of having backgrounds spanning the whole desktop though.

It might work if the rotating mechanism flags when it has a background with an aspect ratio large enough for all monitors and uses it instead of the backgrounds it had picked for the other monitors.
