HI,
I tried to search for this specific issue. But thought this might be easier to create a topic.
I have my Cubase 12 program opening on my second monitor.

When I click on the taskbar of the second monitor Cubase splash screen opens on my first monitor.

But the program then finally is shown on the second monitor.

After that all windows show on the second monitor.

But when going to quit out and the 'save' dialog comes up, it also shows on my first monitor.

This is annoying since my workspace has my first monitor on a separate desk, from my music desk.

Is there any way to force ALL windows Cubase creates or opens from inside the pgoram to show ONLY on my second monitor?

Is this a free application I can test out on my end? If so, could you send over a download link?

Thanks!

HI,

This is not a free program, it is a very expensive piece of software.

Thanks for sending that over. Is it the "Would you like to save" prompt that you want moved, or the actual file save that appears in file explorer?

HI it is the actual save dialog that pops up with the options to save or cancel etc.

Ultimately I would love it if the startup splash screen for the program would show on my second monitor too.

I have the program set to open in that monitor and it is only showing on the second monitors taskbar. Once the splash screen on my primary monitor is gone, the program does actually launch on the second monitor. SO that part works fine.

Can you create a trigger that uses the "Window Created" event, and these match conditions:

Process Filename: C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Cubase 12\Cubase12.exe (or wherever you have the program installed)

Window Text: "Save As"

You can then add the "Move window to selected monitor:" action, and it should move that save window each time it opens.

DisplayFusion is likely already trying to hook that splash window but it's failing, so I don't think we'll be able to do anything there unfortunately.

OK that worked for the save window. Thank you so much.

Any idea if it is even possible to have the splash screen on startup of Cubase 12, appear on the second monitor?

I know this sounds like a cosmetic request. but Cubase is doing a lot of things whilst starting up, and reports that at the bottom of the splash screen.

It would be great to see that on the monitor I am launching it from. Since I only have the Cubase icon on the taskbar of the second monitor.

I tested this out on my end but I couldn't find a way to do this. That splash window isn't a normal window that we can hook, and it didn't seem to return any values for a trigger, so I don't think there's anything we can do there :(
