I'm not sure if this is caused by DisplayFusion, but figured I'd post anyway.

Every time I right-click the desktop, I am getting a MSVC++ window saying "Debug Assertion Failed!" and "Release called on a pointer that has already been released. I noticed this yesterday also. I exited DisplayFusion but the problem persisted. I don't know if DF is the reason, but I do recall DF updating to the latest beta yesterday.

Because of this, I am currently unable to access the desktop context menu. "Abort" closes the window, "Retry" and "Ignore" both re-show the same window.

DF Pro 5.1.1 (beta 5), Win7 Pro SP1 x64
This is a laptop with external monitor (VGA) that I disconnect nightly and reconnected this morning.

DisplayFusion adds entries to the Desktop context menu. Could you try disabling them on the Settings > Options tab, apply the settings, and then see if this issue still occurs while right-clicking the desktop?

Thanks!

Didn't make a difference. Also I am still getting the issue after a reboot. Looking into it, the error is coming from igfxsrvc.exe which is an Intel graphics card utility. Not sure what's going on...

Solved it. Turns out it's a known issue with that Intel utility's context menu handlers. Problem must have creeped in after a recent Windows Update including the graphics driver. Here's the fix if anyone's interested:

Sorry for the false alarm!
