Hey,

Minor quibble, but when you do an automatic update in Display Fusion Pro, it will recreate the desktop icon. It's kind of annoying to have to keep deleting the icon every time the program updates itself, if you don't want it on your desktop. I believe it does the same thing with the Start Menu entries.

Thanks,
Raculot

DisplayFusion uses your initial installation settings when it does the update, so if you chose to have a desktop icon when you installed DisplayFusion it will do the same for the updates. If you would like to avoid this, just download and re-install DisplayFusion with the settings you would like. :)

Speaking of this, would something similar work if we don't want the desktop icon to reset to the first available position every update? Like, I keep the DF icon in the top right, and every time I reinstall, it removes the icon then makes a new one. Would reinstalling and choosing not to create the icon work? does it still try to uninstall the icon when that option was used? if not,, and you think of some kind of fix, please include it :D

Kevin, if you were to manually install and have it not create an icon, then you could manually copy the icon there and it would not be altered after tat on updates.

@Kevin: Unfortunately, I don't have this much control over the installer. I would love to be able to avoid this, but that's the way the installer works right now.
