I have Windows 11 and for the longest time my desktop icons were always in the right spot. I also have fences to group my desktop icons. I've had fences and displayfusion for years and I use to have problems with my icons moving whenever my PC went to sleep but now they are moving whenever I start my PC. I have 3 monitors and my icons stay in the fences, but the fences move to different monitors when I start my computer. When my PC goes to sleep and I wake it the icons are fine but when I turn on my PC the fences move. It has been doing this for a few weeks now. Don't know if maybe there was an update in displayfusion or windows that is causing this.
Windows will adjust the icons if the work area changes, which happens when DisplayFusion adds it's taskbars, there isn't anything we can do there. I'm not sure how it will work with Fences, but you can try using the "Desktop Icon Profiles" to move the icons where you would like them after they get shuffled.
