Every couple of days DF crashes and I have to restart the app. Log attached with advanced logging and debugging enabled.

The log unfortunately doesn't indicate anything suspicious, but it's probably crashing before it can write out the relevant log lines :(

Does it silently crash, crash with an error, or just hang?

It crashes with a Windows message advising the application stopped working.

Ok, would you be able to attach a copy of your troubleshooting info? Here are the steps:
  • Open the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Click the "Copy to Clipboard" button
  • Paste the text into a text file (please don't paste the text directly into your reply, the formatting gets garbled and makes it difficult to parse)
  • Reply with the file attached

Thanks!

Thanks! I don't see anything out of the ordinary in the Troubleshooting info either. After DisplayFusion has been running for a day, is the CPU usage or memory usage higher than normal? (usually 0-5% and < 100 MB at idle).

Hi, no nothing out of the ordinary on CPU or memory usage. I have an i7 and 16GB of RAM so plenty of resources and the system never freezes or hangs, not even momentarily.

Ok, thanks! Would you be able to attach another copy of the troubleshooting info after DisplayFusion has been running for a day or two? I'd like to compare it to see if I can spot any difference from your last copy.

Thanks!

Thanks! I don't see anything unusual there (was looking for a handle/object/memory leak, but all looks ok with those numbers.

Quick question, did you enable logging after you started experiencing the crashes, or have you always had logging enabled?

Hi Keith, I enabled logging after the crashes started knowing that it would be required for this troubleshooting exercise.

Ok, thanks! On a second review, I noticed a couple of interesting lines in the log. Would you be able to send over another log the next time it crashes, so that I can check to see if those lines are there again? Just want to confirm whether or not they're even relevant to the crash.

Thanks!
