I am a new user and cannot find the answer to these questions re randomly changed images from my computer:

1. I cannot get DF 3 to display *.tif or *.bmp images. Is the *.jpg format obligatory?
2. Correctly-oriented portrait images are automatically turned on their side. Is this to be expected?

Barrie.

All portrait-oriented images appear as landscape-oriented, ie rotated 90 degrees.

@Barrie: I sent you an email last night, but I'll repost it here so other people can see the answers. Those images probably have something in the meta data (JPEG EXIF information) that is telling DisplayFusion that they are supposed to be rotated. There is no way (currently) to disable this, but I will add it as an option in the next version. As for BMP and TIF images, I am investigating this for the next release.

@Barrie: The next version (v3.0.1) now has an option to disable automatic image rotation. Also, I have cleared up any issues regarding TIF images and BMPimages. BMP images now work properly, but there is no support for TIF images. TIF images aren't fully supported by the .NET framework and as a result Displayfusion doesn't support them either.

Thank you so much, Jon. I will look at the latest version, and not te point about *.tif files.
