Hi,

I'm using Windows 10 Pro 22H2 and DF 11.0 Beta 2.

I have a strange behaviour : taskbar disappears on second monitor frequently. I must use contextual menu on systray to disable then enable taskbar to view it on my second monitor.

Taskbar settings are :
    all taskbars display relevant windows

Debug info file is joint

Any luck to be corrected in further beta version, or should i reverse to stable 10 version ?

thanks

PS : sorry for my english writing, i'm French, and my english dates from my (so far) school years, Google translate sometimes help, but i wrote this topic without any help from GT

We have a similar issue on our list to look into for our next beta, we'll let you know if we have anything further on it going forward.

Thanks!

We've released a new beta that should fix this up, you can grab it here: https://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/. Please let me know if you run into any issues after updating.

Hi, I'm using 11 Beta 3 and I'm still having this issue as well. After an unknown amount of time, the taskbar on my second monitor disappears and the way I get it back is to click the "Restore Down" button on the application on that monitor and then the DisplayFusion taskbar launches and is then visible. I do that with whatever application is maximized on that monitor and the taskbar relaunches. Very strange, but I'm on the latest beta and the problem still exists.

The next time this happens, can you open Task Manager > Processes, right click DisplayFusion and select "Create Memory Dump File" and send it over?

Where do you want me to upload the dump file? The dump file (zipped) is 226MB.

I also have this problem.

For at least 2-3 weeks (might be longer), I have been periodically losing the taskbars on all 5 non-primary monitors. Originally every few days, but getting more frequent - less than 6 hrs after reboot today.

I was originally running v 10.1.2. I upgraded to v11.0 beta 3 a few days ago, but still same problem.

I maintain a sequence of weekly bootable backup disks. So this morning, I tried reverting to my disk from 19 March (i.e. back to v 10.1.2). No good, lost the taskbars atter less than six hours.

Sometimes, I have been able to get the taskbars back by: Display Fusion in system tray / Multi-monitor taskbars / Enable all taskbars.

Other times, the Display Fusion icon has disappeared from the system tray after the crash, and I have to reboot.

Since reverting to v 10.1.2 didn't help, I am now back on my latest disk with v 11.0 beta 3.

I've uploaded a memory dump captured just after the last crash (on v 10.1.2), with my ID Dale123 in the file name.

All non-primary taskbars disappeared again.

I think it it happened overnight this time, when the mouse and keyboard were not being used.

Because this seems possibly different, I tried uploading another memory dump. But it's 840 MB (presumably because longer time since last crash) so the uploader refused.

Just happened again, about an hour after I last did "Multi-monitor taskbars / Enable all taskbars". I wasn't using keyboard or mouse when it happened.

I also see "Multi-Monitor Taskbars / Reset All Taskbars"...is that a better choice perhaps?

Those dumps aren't showing anything unfortunately, could you send me over a debug log? Here are the steps:

  • On the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and click Apply
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

Hi

Sorry for late reply, didn't have enough time to test.

Still same problem, but i've changed my hardware (keep my SSD with same Win10 install), but i think i'll go to migrate to Win11

I'll make some other tests before migrating, and i'll post dump here soon

Thanks you for taking on you time to find a solution for our problem.

Kind regards

Samuel
