hi guys. i installed the trial to the most recent version of the beta, and i had the problem in the title. basically, it looks like the display size setting have changed on my analog display, and in order to fix it, after every reboot, shutdown, hibernate, waking from the blank power save screen, sometimes even a uac prompt, i have to open the catalyst control center, and adjust those settings from there. as you can guess, this is incredible annoying.

here are some specs:
q6600@ 3.00GHZ
8GB 1066 DDR2
amd hd 7770 GHZ edition
aoc 19 inch vga through displayport adapter (seen as a digital display)
dell sp2208wfp connected by dvi-d to displayport adapter
lg l225ws connected to a dvi port by a dvi-i to vga adapter.

Just to clarify, are you not able to adjust the screen resolution via the regular Windows settings at all? The only way to change them is through the Catalyst Control Center?

actually, they can be changed, but every time i reboot, the scaling options exclusive to vga displays, seem to revert to an option that results in some very strange behaviour.

to clarify, i am attaching a diagram:

changing these settings at all straightens it out:

this has only happened since i installed display fusion.

Ok, strange! DisplayFusion doesn't change any display settings on startup, and it definitely can't change those settings. If you disable DisplayFusion from startup (Settings > Options tab) and reboot, does the issue still occur?

its completely un-installed, ive even checked the registry and services, and there is no sign of display fusion.

i have also updated the display driver. the only thing left to try is a complete display driver re-installation.

edit: sorry for the late reply, there isnt an email subscription system for this, so i keep forgetting.

No worries! It definitely doesn't sound like a DisplayFusion issue then, but if you're able to fix it up with the driver reinstall, please let me know!

Regarding not getting email notifications, if you click the My Info link at the top of the Discussions list, there's an option to allow emails :)

Thanks!
