Updating from Beta 4 to 5 via the Displayfusion GUI did lock up the OS completely.
Had to update it with closing Displayfusion Beta 4 and started update through Beta 5 exe.

I did try it twice through the GUI same issue. After that i used the mentioned manual update.

Hi there, I downloaded the new beta this morning. It seems my Windows Position Profiles are no longer working properly. I have a profile for work and one for home. Each one is linked to a hotkey. However, pressing on the hotkey either doesn't work or the window positioning moves after a few minutes.

Alternatively, I went to Settings > Window Position Profiles and tried to load each profile. It worked, but there was a bit of a delay with a loading circle before the profile was loaded. Any ideas?

Here's the log. I started logging and cleared the log at 9:44pm EST. I pressed my hotkeys to move the windows (Win + F11 and then Win + F12). Initially it was swapping back and forth with no issue. Then I moved some windows around manually and tried again (still 9:44pm EST) with no movement. It wasn't until 9:46pm EST when the windows moved back.

Some windows move, and some don't. Also, after the first time hitting the hotkey, they either don't move anymore or there's that huge delay before some windows move again.

I reinstalled Beta 4 for the time being, and it's working perfectly fine now again. Just FYI.

Hi Owen, thanks for getting back to me. Already did the Update when my PC booted today. Was doing it the usual way as i did many years through the GUI Update, the OS Freezing issue is gone now. At least from Beta 5 to 6. Surely i will do the log steps if i get this issue again in a future update and will post it.

Hello, something changed between Beta 4 and Beta 5+ with regards to Window Position Profiles. The profiles functionality worked as expected in Beta 4, but in both Beta 5 and Beta 6, it does not work as expected. The hotkey does not move the windows, and the associated triggers don't seem to work either. Example: I have two monitors, and I have Teams set to launch in the second monitor with the profile and the trigger. With Beta 4, upon launch, Teams moves to the second monitor. With Beta 5 and Beta 6, the Teams window launches at the correction position but in the primary monitor. The hotkey does not move the windows with Beta 5 or Beta 6. I reinstalled Beta 4, and the functionality works. I don't see many other people experiencing this issue, so maybe it's isolated?

Hi Owen, I tried Beta 6 today and still have the same issue of the window position profile not loading properly. I went back to Beta 4, and it is working again.

One thing I noticed recently after I went back to Beta 4 from Beta 5 per my last post, is that my hotkey for one of my "Work" profile is no longer valid. I was using Windows + F11, but it says it's being used elsewhere. I never had this problem until recently so I'm not sure why that's happening either.

Do you know when Win + F11 became reserved? I had been using it forever. I'll try to get the new logs tomorrow.

I am hoping the log will shed some light, but in the meantime, I will give B6 another try.

I see B7, so I tried it. Window Position Profile still does function as expected. It may have gotten slightly worse. I tried to load the profile through DF's Settings window, DF froze. After restarting it, I deleted an existing profile and recreated it. It did not resolve the issue. HTH.
