I cannot install the latest beta. I get an access violation error message when I try to do so (screenshot attached). I've tried to install the update using the built in update function as well as downloading the exe from your website. My system is Windows 11 24H2 build 26100.6584.

Sorry for the delayed response, I was on vacation. I cannot test with beta 5 since I haven't got the setup file anymore. But I tested with Beta 7 and it also does not install giving me the same error message.

I attached a link to beta 5 in post #3. You can also grab any of our older betas at the bottom of this page: https://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/

Thanks!

Beta 11.2 Beta 5 also does not install (same error message). I uninstalled Display Fusion and tried again (with 11.2 Beta 5, 6 and 7) but the result was always the same. I then used an older installer (version 11.0 Beta 7) and it installed but now I cannot update to 11.2 (same error message).

I downloaded the msi installer for the latest beta and this time installation went through without any error messages. But I'm still wondering why I cannot install any of the 11.2 beta exe installers (the latest stable version 11.1.1 also does not install, same error message).

Yeah that's really strange, do you have any anti-virus installed? I wonder if it's flagging the file it's creating

Yes I've got GDATA Internet Security as AV solution. But I've already tried installing DisplayFusion while the AV is disabled. I get the same error message.

Could you grab a process monitor capture? Here are the steps:

1. Install Process Monitor: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/procmon
2. Run it, and make sure "Capture" is on
3. Run the DisplayFusion installer so you receive the error
4. Save the file with the default settings, zip it, and send it over

This is a tough issue. We can't replicate it here and no one else has reported this issue. We're using an updated installer for the upcoming Beta 8, can you try that once it's out and report back if the issue persists? Can you also right-click on the installer, go to the compatibility tab, and make sure nothing is enabled here? Thanks!
