I'm afraid that this beta might has brought back the infamous mouse freezing.

Example: I was downloading a file and when it finished the mouse froze for a few seconds. A quick glance at Windows Task Manager showed DF with 50% CPU usage. It happened again when I tried running it (it was an installer).

I noticed I had PreventSystemHooks on from previous versions. I will disable it and test again.

That could be the culprit, and if you use 'SystemHooksDisabled' instead of the one you used?

I didn't have that registry string, I added it manually. I'll try it and report back.

Good news and bad news. The bad news is that I changed that setting's registry key value in Beta 2, which would explain why it wasn't working for you. I'll be adding this option as a checkbox to the Troubleshooting tab in beta 3. The good news is that I have made some huge improvements to the hooks this week, and I'm getting confident that it will eliminate the lag. I would be very interested to hear if Beta 3 fixes your issues, once it's released.

I've experienced no freezing since beta 3, some lag though. Still, not as bad as before.

Excellent - I'll mark this as complete for now.
