Hey guys,

I recently figured that DP silently seem to crash on my Windows 10 machine (19042.928) for unknown reasons.
I can easily see that it stopped working when the symbol for "MOve Window to next monitor" just stays on the desktop while the application has already moved or if I am trying to use shortcuts for Window Position Profiles it doesn't work.
double-clicking on the taskbar icon doesn't open the settings, right clicking is not possible. Only when I stop all the processes in task manager (DisplayFusion, both Hook Applications for Display Fusion, but not the service) I can then reopen it again and it works perfectly fine.
Eventlog does not seem to have any info. There is no crash dump in the crash dumps directory.
I assume that there is some kind of incompatibility with some kind of software that I might use but how would I find out?
What would be the best way to troubleshoot this or is this even a known issue?
Happy to deliver you all the troubleshooting info you need, I just want it to work perfectly again ;)

Great software, I can't work without it. Help is much appreciated.

Best,
Kevin

Hi Kevin,

Let's start off by trying to update to our latest beta, found here: https://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/

We've fixed up some crashing/hanging issues, so let me know how that works for you.

Thanks!

Thanks Owen for your reply. I was actually downgrading from the beta versions a few weeks ago, thinking that would resolve my issue - but I will give it another try as there are newer versions now available. Will let you know if that resolves it.

P.S. I was enabling the debugging log under troubleshooting already but it seems when DF crashes the log just cut off. So not really helpful in my case. I could send it out though if needed, will try upgrading first though.
