v12.0.1 will not install on Windows 10 22H2. After install, when trying to launch, receive this error. Uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled and the same error. Had to revert to v11.1.1

We've got a new code signing certificate in 12.0.1, so it's possible that your machine doesn't have the updated root certificates. If you check Settings > Windows Update, are there any updates available for your machine?

Looks like it may be due to end of support on Windows 10 22H2. Ugh...I do NOT want to move to Windows 11

Unfortunately you'll start seeing more issues like that due to Windows 10 not getting updated, so would definitely recommend planning an upgrade to Windows 11.

Do you have any security software or firewall rules that would be blocking Windows from accessing the certificate revocation lists?

None of which I'm aware. Our AV software is mostly anti-malware and Windows Defender Firewall is off on all settings

Is it a corporate computer? If so, can you check with your IT department on whether they've enabled the "User Account Control: Only elevate executables that are signed and validated" Group Policy option (located in Computer Configuration > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Local Policies > Security Options).

Ok...I reinstalled 12.0.2, ran as administrator and was still getting the error

I then ran the Troubleshoot Compatibility wizard and it made some changes (incl one I had tried before: run as administrator) and now it's running.

For now.

Let's hope this works for good!
