Dragging window is choppy after Beta 8 upgrade

After upgrading to Beta 8, dragging a window is choppy and stuttering as if the window is trying to repeatedly snap. Dragging over a window will sometimes result in windows randomly being minimized. Beta 7 was without issue.

Here is a video of the experience: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jAeSGZEfodU

Agree, this is really ugly and unusable, I got really frustrated while trying to find the application that is causing me so much trouble. Please fix it, window dragging is nearly impossible right now.

Hi guys,

This issue is fixed in Beta 9 which we'll be releasing this week. In the mean time, please disable the Window Snapping features in the DisplayFusion settings.

Thanks!

that still happens for me but disabling sticky snapping "fixes" it.
however, even with that disabled, i sometimes experience that the windows behind the window to be moved gets minimized, im not sure if that is desired behaviour since i have never seen that before.

@Kuja, the window snapping bugs should be fixed in Beta 9, are you running it or still on Beta 8?

We just released Beta 10 this morning which fixes some more issues with the sticky snapping feature. Please install that and let me know if you're still running into issues.

Thanks!

i couldn't get a window to minimize this time. so that part seems to be fixed.
however, the stuttering window issue when moving the windows around is back

edit: actually, the window minimizing just happened to me again, so no, not fixed. (beta 10)

We've had some issues with Windows trying to snap to invisible windows (i.e. keyboard hotkey software etc). Could you enable debug logging, then try to move a window around, and then email the debug log to support@displayfusion.com?

Follow the steps below to enable debug logging in DisplayFusion:

  • Open the DisplayFusion settings
  • Click the Troubleshooting tab
  • Check the “Enable debug logging” box
  • Produce the issue
  • Click the “Open Log Location” button
  • Email the “DisplayFusion.log” text file to support@displayfusion.com

Thanks!
