I'm having an odd issue that I can't seem to correct. Whenever I save anything to my desktop it places the icons between the right and left monitor. (see screenshot)

I tried changing the padding but that didn't help. Does anyone have any ideas how to prevent it from doing this and to save things on one monitor or the other?

Thanks!

Hi Nancy,

Could you send me a copy of your troubleshooting info? Here are the steps:

  • Open the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button
  • Reply with the file attached

Also, are you using any software, like Nvidia surround, to combine your monitors?

Thanks!

Hi Owen!

Well, for the first time in MONTHS I saved something today and it placed it on the upper left of the left monitor! I have no idea why as I changed nothing.

Let me test it a couple more days and see if it sticks. If not I'll attach a file. But I'll be in touch either way with an update.

Thanks so much for the quick response!

UPDATE:

It's been a week now and "most" of the time it shows on the top left of monitor one. Which is perfect.

Once or twice its put it between the monitor screens but that's its. I have no idea what triggers it to do that but as it works correctly almost every time I'm happy.

It's literally been doing the between the monitor thing for months!

Thank you for responding.
