Has anyone experienced screen flickering after the recent Win 11 25H2 updates with DF running? I have two 4k monitors and I hear that sometimes Windows updates will break HDR or Dolby Vision, for me, the problem stops when I close out Display Fusion. I have been running these monitors for over six months, no problems till now. The screen briefly flashes every 30 seconds or so.

We haven't had anyone else report that. Could you send me a debug log? Here are the steps:

  • On the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and then click "Clear Log"
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

Thanks for the quick reply. I've attached the log. The flickering occurs at 6:41pm on 11/3/25. I also took a video in case you need that. The flash happens at 2 sec mark and 22 second mark in the video. I appologize it's hard to see. If I close DF, the problem goes away. Thanks!

Does your screen flickering coincide with the desktop wallpaper changing or anything else happening on the system? Thanks!

No, It's all the time. I do use DF to control my background wallpaper. I tried a static image that I downloaded from the DF wallpaper website and it still would flash, so I turned off the DF wallpaper function, set the wallpaper through Win 11 and it has stopped. DF is running, and I don't notice any flashing. Thanks!

Are you using any other DisplayFusion features as well, like the TitleBar Buttons or Taskbars? If you disable the DisplayFusion taskbars do you still get the flashing?

Yes. I am using both the titlebar buttons and the Taskbars. After my initial post, I disabled the wallpaper function and it was working fine with the titlebar and taskbars both running. Since, your latest reply, I renabled the Wallpaper feature using the slide show images from Wallpaper Fusion's website spanning across both monitors at 7680 x 2160 and it has not reoccured. Unfortunatly, I am not much help but I will keep an eye out and see if it reemerges.

That's very strange but thanks for following-up. Let me know if it happens again and we can dig more into it. Thanks!
