Getting error message whenever trying to load WP from local image.

Win 10 Pro
DisplayFusion 9.6.1

Code

An error has occurred while setting your new Wallpaper.
Generated wallpaper is NULL.
[System.Exception]

Google searches show old errors (circa 2018) and I've tried most of the troubleshooting steps I could find there already (those on DisplayFusion's Discussion site).

Suggestions on troubleshooting?

I have the same problem, but when using any webservice to get images.
The image is downloaded fine to C:\Users\aupf\AppData\Local\DisplayFusion\Web Images\ but it seems unable to apply it.
I can manually rightclick the downloaded image in the folder and add it as background, so it seems that the "add to background" part of DisplayFusion has been broken somehow.
It might be a windows Update which potentially changed some rights, which prevents DisplayFusion from applying the image.

This should actually be fixed up in 9.6.2 Beta 1. Could you give it a try and let me know how it works out?

Thanks!

Thank you for the very quick fix!

I can now change background wallpaper normally again.

Just out of curiosity; what was the problem?

The issue was related to trying to apply a profile that was configured with more monitors than are currently connected/enabled :)
