Currently I have 25 monitor profiles, which I can divide into a few groups based on resolution, actual (not DF) monitor, etc.
I would love to give [non-exclusive] tags to monitor profiles for optimising trigger pool.

To clarify, are you wanting to add tags to monitor profiles, and then have a new match condition added to Trigger rules for the tag?

Yes 8), I want to add tags to monitor profiles to then apply triggers to entire groups of monitor profiles instead of just one.

Ok, I've added that to our feature request list as well.

Thanks!
