I really love the feature in display fusion that you are able to link default audio device to a screen, as i use my PC with different rooms through HDMI. But would really love a way to change the speaker configuartion linked to a screen to be example 5.1 speakers

The issues comes when installing new drivers, og change of HDMI port windows reverts to Stereo. I have not seen any other utility to handle this issue. and i also tried with scripting myself. But the config of speakers seems to be linked to a GUID of renderdevices that has a very complicated registry values. at first i did a snapshot of the config of 5.1. that also worked for a while, but quickly found out that the GUID can change over time. som to keep a reg file was not suitable for the task.

Really hope this could be a future improvement or if any have a suggestion to a way to overcome this with automation. Autohotkey will not be a solution if it regards GUI and window manipulation.

We've looked into this in the past and couldn't find a reliable way to do it either, unfortunately :(
