Thanks much for developing a very useful piece of software. I rely on "Triggers (Window Location)" in order to organize my apps based on the currently-detected monitor profile. A couple things that would make life easier when using new/different monitor profiles:
Allow copy/paste or duplication of triggers... since I have triggers setup for four different applications, when I need to create a new monitor profile I spend about 5 minutes taking screenshots of the existing triggers and creating new ones for the new monitor profile
Allow multiple monitor profiles to be chosen... this would allow me to use the same trigger for monitor profiles that are similar (e.g. when the upper-left monitor is #1)
In the "Enter Window Values" box (for "Move Window to Specific Size and Location"), the text selection when tabbing between spin boxes does not behavior like "normal" Windows. When tabbing between boxes the cursor is placed to the left of any existing value in the box, making it necessary to use the Delete key (or Shift-Arrow to select value) before typing in the new value. By default, Windows seems to highlight text contained within the box when tabbing to fields. As an example, pull up Wordpad and do File > Print. When you tab through this window you'll notice the value of the "Pages" field and the "Number of copies" (also a spin box) are selected in their entirety, allowing you to simply press "3" for that number. If it behaved like DF, entering the number 3 would give you 31 copies instead of 3
The column widths in the list of triggers resets when coming back from adding/editing a trigger. If I have double-clicked the "Stop Processing" and "Match Conditions" columns (in order to see which monitor profile each trigger is using), double-click on an existing trigger, then click Cancel, the column widths reset.
Thanks for the feedback! I've added the first 2 to our feature request list, and confirmed and added the second 2 to our bugs list
I'll second those first two feature requests. I end up duplicating triggers for different monitor profiles. It would be easier to either copy the trigger or select multiple monitor profiles for one trigger.
Any updates to this feature request since 2017? I'd like to add that defining multiple triggers to run the same action would be nice as well.
For instance: Running an action(s) to position a stubborn application that likes to reset it's position on me a lot. Defining a trigger both when the window is created as well as after desktop unlock would be a great feature to lessen my need for multiple triggers on the same application/window.
