I have trouble with Windows 8 inactive windows in that they are all grey and I can't pick out overlapping windows easily.
I use the "Highlight Window" feature but need to turn it on for every window. How about an always on highlight feature where I can just choose a colour and every new window will be highlighted?
We actually have a similar request on our list so I've added your vote to it. If we're able to implement it in a future version, we'll be sure to let you know!
