Hi,

I'm testing your excellent piece of software (I've been using UltraMon for many years but it's showing it's age) and there is one feature that would get me converted; the ability to have hotkeys to move a window to a preset monitor.

I'm currently running three monitors and would like to setup three different hotkey entries so that I can move a window to a specific monitor. For example:

CTRL+SHIFT+Z - Move window to monitor 3
CTRL+SHIFT+X - Move window to monitor 1
CTRL+SHIFT+C - Move window to monitor 2

With more than two monitors the "move to next monitor" approach falls down; I've only recently moved to three displays and it's really bugging me!

Cheers!

Darren

Yes, yes, yes please.

I have a 4 monitor setup that includes two screens in the HTPC room (for gaming and general PC stuff), and i have a main projector in the front room at 1080p, and a distributed 720p feed going to 5 other screens throughout the house.

If I'm watching a Blu-Ray on PowerDVD9 I need 1080p on the projector. If I'm using my Music server around the house I need the 720p distributed setup. If I'm "configuring" I need one of the desktop screens.

so to keep the WAF high (you've heard of the Wife Acceptance Factor right?) I need a simple button on my Pronto that can start MediaCentre on the right screen (all from one click).

Currently i have to tell the Wifey to launch MediaCentre from the Pronto and then press the "cycle screens" button until she gets MediaCentre on the right screen.

Darren's suggestion below would be perfect because I could have a single macro button on the Pronto that starts MediaCentre, fires up the Projector, switches on the Yamaha Amp, and moves MediaCentre to Screen 3. Brilliant.

I'm a new user and have been thinking about taking advantage of the "pro" discount until Jan 5th, but I would really need this feature, or Pro is no use to me.

...please.....?

Hey,

I've purchased pro anyway, can't see myself going back to ultramon.

It would be great to see this feature added in a future release!

Cheers,

Darren

I think you'll find that the project lead (Jon) is the most responsive developer you're likely to run across. If it's reasonably feasible, he'll likely work it into a future version...

Darren... the only other feature from UltraMon that is really cool is the ability to set profiles so that we can shut down unused screens when they are not in use (saves power I guess and at least makes me feel environmentally friendly!). Thus when I am in the living room Io run a profile that shuts down all other screens (again from a Pronto Command).

I'd love to see Jon come up with that as well... :-D

This is an excellent idea, I'll be sure to include it in the version 3.2 release. Thanks!

Excellent!

I look forward to seeing this release, that's what I call customer service!

Thanks Jon,

I have had this on my wishlist for quite some time. After seeing how much demand there is for this feature I've bumped it up the list. :)
