Hi there,

I'd like to put in a feature request for the obsessive among us. With both the default Windows Taskbar and DisplayFusion Multi-Monitor Taskbars you can re-order the taskbar icons as you see fit. However, in neither can you re-organise the preview tiles that appear above the icons when you hover over them. This can be achieved with tools like 7+ Taskbar Tweaker, however, not surprisingly this will only work for the Windows Taskbar and not the DisplayFusion Multi-Monitor Taskbars.

My rationale for this feature is both that it's much appreciated by those who try to keep our desktop obsessively organised, but also, I find it can be helpful for the preview tiles to reflect the monitor topology. For example, in my case I have a 2x3 grid of displays (6 displays total), and might have 3 Firefox windows open, one on each of the top level monitors. Thus, it's great if the preview tiles are in order with respect to the monitors (i.e. preview 1 = monitor 1, preview 2 = monitor 2, etc...).

Maybe in future it could be supported that the preview icons are automatically organised to reflect the monitor topology, but this would be going above and beyond, simply the ability to just organise them manually would be fantastic.

Thanks!

Interesting idea! I'll add this to our feature request list.

Thanks!

I know this is a super old post, so might be bad form to reply to it, but just thought I'd bump it to ask if there's any likelihood of this being implemented? The reason I'm asking is I usually use 7+ Taskbar Tweaker to achieve this, but having just updated to Windows 10 Creators Update, it's now broken. I've donated to the developer to add support in a new release, but having support in DisplayFusion would be even better as 7+ Taskbar Tweaker has only ever worked with the primary taskbar. Either way, keep up the great work. DisplayFusion is absolutely indispensable :)

No worries! Unfortunately we don't have plans to implement this at the moment, but we never truly "close" a feature request (unless it's totally impossible), so if we do end up implementing it in the future, we'll definitely let you know :)

Thanks!
