Love DisplayFusion - and like the additional toolbar capability in v3.0

One thing would make my life better: when I unplug my laptop and use it for client presentations, would be great if DisplayFusion would cease automatically trying to make changes to the background so that the Presentation Control Panel in Vista can keep control of the look of my machine.

That way, when I'm in the office, I can have my usual multi-monitor experience, but when I'm in front of clients, DisplayFusion does not interfere with the monitor work that you need when you are using someone else's monitor at an external site etc.

Thanks in advance

Automatically this doesn't look like it can work, however right clicking the tray icon you have a switch for the taskbar, and also under random wallpaper changer theres a switch for freeze current image. If you mean something else, let me know.

Another solution would be to just turn DF off.... But who wants to do that?

Currently I am not using randowm wallpaper. But if I freeze it, will this stop DF from trying to change the wallpaper again?

Previously when I've had DF set up to automatically fix background images, when the presentation control has been running, it has tried to enforce a different background and then DF has overridden those settings so a family photo has ended up visible to my clients (quite literally not the image I am trying to project).

So right now, before I leave my office, I switch off DF or untick the 'auto fix backgrounds' button, do the presentation and then come back and reverse that action. But that is cumbersome and annoing (as I do quite a few client presentations).

Regards

There are 2 things that DisplayFusion will do to try and change your wallpaper:

"Warn me if my wallpaper needs adjusting"
This is in the Settings window, and will prompt you to fix your wallpaper anytime another program modifies it, or if your computer changes the number of monitors or resolutions of any of them.

Random image changer
This is a wallpaper setting, and will randomly rotate between images. If you are using this, you can right-click on the DisplayFusion system tray icon and check "Random Wallpaper Changer > Freeze Current Images". This will prevent DisplayFusion from trying to set a new random wallpaper.

And, of course, you can always exit DisplayFusion. DisplayFusion doesn't install any drivers or background processes, just that 1 system tray program. So once you close that DisplayFusion won't bother you during any presentations.

I hope this information helps. :)
