Hi all,
Amazing software, I've used the free version for some time and thought it was about time to upgrade. But I did notice something while messing with the multi monitor taskbars that I'd love to see if it's possible.

If I have a shortcut pinned to a taskbar, I'd like it to stay attached there, regardless of what monitor the application is on. This is especially nice for things like a browser, where I'll have it pinned on my main monitor, but the browser window will change monitors frequently. If I use the taskbar mode "All show relevant" then if my browser is on a different monitor to the main taskbar, clicking the shortcut on the taskbar will open a new window, as the window of the browser is seen as attached to the other monitor.

I can sort of achieve this with the "Windows taskbar shows all windows/Display fusion shows relevant windows" mode, except that I don't actually want the Windows taskbar to show all windows either. I want it to show pinned (as explained above), but after the pinned it should only display relevant windows.

I hope I explained that well (and that this isn't an extraordinarily niche want that only applies to me!).

You can actually do this with a Compatibility rule :)

On the Settings > Compatibility tab, add a new rule for the browser, and enable the "Disable removing from Windows Taskbar" option in the rule.

Hope that helps!

Hi Keith, thanks for the fast reply!
That definitely helps, but doesn't really resolve the issue of the same style of occurrence on the display fusion taskbars.
Is there a similar setting there?

Ah, so you also want an option to have an application never be removed from the DisplayFusion taskbar?
