I'm not sure how any of the competitors support it, but I know what I would need to do. In the good ol' days (up until Vista) the Windows taskbar was an almost standard Windows control. Starting with Windows 7 however, it is completely custom. When I started developing the DF taskbar support I chose to do a 100% custom taskbar as well. This makes it very easy to add support for new versions of Windows, but makes it impossible to add support for things like Quick Launch or True Launch bars. Sorry for the bad news, but I believe this is a small compromise for a larger gain in development in other areas.
