They unfortunately don't match the windows taskbar :(

Ok, could you post a screenshot of both taskbars? Does gitk have multiple windows that use different icons?

I've split this out to a separate topic so we don't clog up the other topic about the crashing issues :)

I've noticed :D Working on the screenshots now! :)

[Edit]
I have attached 2 of the 3 taskbars now (not sure how to add more then 1 attachment, but center is equal to left anyhow (icon wise))

I have for clarification have outlined the icons that are incorrect! :)
- red outline: gitk
- blue outline: eclipse
- green outline: minecraft

[Edit2]
Just noticed after a quick check that netbeans has the same issue as eclipse and minecraft, and the flash full screen icon is a generic windows window icon on the display fusion taskbar...

Ok, thanks! Are there some pre-built Windows binaries for Gitk? All I could find was the source, just wondering if there's a quick way I can test it out :)

I myself am using sysgit, which includes gitk (It's a full git package)! :)

[Edit] I just noticed am on an older version of git! I'll update and try after! :D But that doesn't change the fact the Java icons are miss matching as well though :(

Ok, I've tested the latest version of Git and confirmed it as well.

For the full screen Flash icon, are you using a local Flash animation, or something available on the web that I could test? I've tested with full screen Flash video, but the icon matches correctly.

I've noticed it using the player for Eredivisie Live which is a webplayer like youtube, but is kind of the company that broadcasts the dutch soccer so takes a subscription... Will check for youtube/the free videos on EDL in about 15mins!

Awesome, thanks for the help in troubleshooting the issue. We've found the cause, and we should have it all fixed up for Beta 4.

Thanks!

Ok, not sure if I can reopen this one or need to create a new ticket. But I'll just try here first! :)

It seems that since the last update, the skype icon doesn't update properly. But more importantly: The Gitk icon is once again broken... However when there is only a single Gitk window open, it works correctly.
Soon as there are 2 or more Gitk windows open, the icon goes back to the same geny lamp icon that it had before.

Interesting! I've just tested and confirmed that. Which update broke it? (4.0.1 stable? or one of the 4.1 Betas?)

Sorry, we've been super busy and just haven't had a chance to work on this issue. We'll hopefully have time to look into it further when we start working on the next set of beta versions.

Thanks!

Just a quick update, this should be all fixed up in 4.2 Beta 3. Could you give it a try when you have a chance?

Thanks!

Let me update my DisplayFusion then! Will get back to you in a bit! :)

Edit:
Seems gitk still has the same issue as before... :( Is there perhaps a thumbs cache somewhere?

There shouldn't be anything getting cached. Could you post a screenshot of what the Gitk icons look like on the DF taskbar as well as the Windows taskbar? On our systems here, they look exactly the same.

Thanks!

Well that's quite odd then! I've added them to the attachements. First one is the display fusion icon, where as the second is the windows icon.

Thanks! We'll check it out again. We were testing with the Gitk command prompt window. Is there a different window we should be testing with?

I pretty much run it from the command prompt, so I don't think there is a different window. Also do note, it only occurs when you open 2 or more gitk windows at the same time. When only 1 is opened, it works just fine.
