Hey,

I have got a new ultra wide screen 49" and got your Display Fusion Software.
I added Screen Splits:
No. 1 = 1280x1440 (on the left)
No. 2 = 2560x1440 (middle/main area)
No. 3 = 1280x720 (top right)
No. 4 = 1280x720 (bottom right)
The split screens are working well with Starcraft2, other programs and windows. I added the window positions to several applications (HotS is x=1280, y=0, w=2560, H=1440). Everything works fine, but Heroes of the Storm. The Game starts in 3440x1440 instead of 2560x1440. I have to resize the game to fullscreen in-game, then load the screen position profile, then trying to go back to windowed fullscreen (trying because the mouse position is not what it seems.. it is offset to the left) and when I get back to the windowed fullscreen everything works fine as intended. Is there a way to get it started correctly?

When I start the game in window mode, it works fine.. but I can't play the game in window mode, because of the missing window borders.. I can't play the game in fullscreen mode, because I want to see other windows/applications.

Even in the variables.txt of the game the width and height are correct. But it just loads/display it wrong.

Do you guys have any idea how to fix it?
Thanks in advance!

Kind Regards
Sascha

Ive had that same issue (atleast the mouse part) as I have 2 'splits'
and as you said it seems the only solution is to switch to fullscreen and back to windowed(fullscreen)
So you can actually get windowed(fullscreen) to not take up 100% of the screen? (thats actually further than Ive been able to do)

@I cant use windowed because it doesnt have borders
Im not sure exactly what you mean here, but Im going to assume you mean you want the curser to be stuck ingame so you can properly pan around the map?

Display fusion actually has a cursor locking function.
However there is also a freeware app called "Cursor Lock" its a bit more complicated to setup but it does offer a bit more customization and imo reliability in its use.

@mouse offset It is probably offset by the width of your split (I have this issue too when hots first starts, but I switch to fullscreen then back to fullscreen(window)

I know its anoying and you shouldnt have too; but maybe a new order of operations might solve the issue?
start hots (in windowed fullscreen)
apply profile via hotkey
Go to settings(difficult with the offset but it should be doable) and change to fullscreen
When the prompt ask you to keep you say No(which should revert back to fullscreen(windowed)
That should atleast solve the cursor offset issue.

Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately it did not work.
I started HotS in windowed fullscreen, I applied the profile via hotkey,
there was no real change visibile (the profile loaded, one of my other applications moved to its designated position), the mouse worked correct without the offset-effect, I applied the fullscreen but canceled the confirmation. It went back to its wrong size, but with the application windows was set to the center of the screen instead to the desired position (start 1280 from the left)..
soo.. the mystery goes on ;)

Hello,

Have you tried creating a trigger with the "window created" event, and the "move window to specific size and location" action, and seeing if that works?

Thanks!

Thanks for the idea. I just tried to use your trigger idea and I even added prompt message to see if the conditions were met. The event started, but the window did not change its size or position. I believe the Windowed Fullscreen blocks that.

Hello,

So I downloaded and tested the game on my end, and it doesn't seem like it will take any resize commands we send at it. We send a basic SetWindowPos command, and if the program refuses it, then there's not much we can do.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help!
