I want some of my splits to overlap with eachother doing so will hide borders and get the maximum amount of space.

its only a few pixels here and there but it would really help with my immersion and concentration.

the left and the bottom borders to the edge of the screen, is it still possible to put some padding there to get rid of the borders?

the border between the chat and the browser window is just a split in the disp fusion software

i have some other splits between other windows and to the edge of the screens and im hoping it would work similarly.

Edit:
Thinking about it some more i believe i'm not asking the right questions

first of all, i think i want all windows to act as if selected monitors are bigger then they actually are
for example:

i want this monitor to be 5 pixels wider on the LEFT edge only AND i want it to be 5 pixels wider on the BOTTOM edge only so that the edges of my windows gets hid when using maximize with split monitors.

This would be the fact with the monitor in the example where i have my taskbar on the right side, but i do not want my taskbar to move 5 pixels so that its out of position.

on this monitor however i would want 5 pixels around all the edges for the same reason where the edges of windows get hid.

secondly
i would want certain areas to act bigger then they are with "inverse padding" (which would technically be called spacing? O.o)

i want the 45 pixels of the top of the chat to be hidden by the browser using always on top.
this means that the 1600x250 split will act as a 1600x295 split, but the 1600x2310 split above it will stay the same.

It's not possible to do negative padding right now unfortunately. However, if you un-check the "Auto-fill splits" checkbox, you should be able to change the "Top" value for that bottom split from 2310 to 2265, then increase the "Height" value of the bottom split to 295.

There isn't currently a way to expand the split past the edges of the physical monitor, but I will put this on our feature request list.

Thanks!

Actually, you could achieve what you're looking for with a Custom Function. You'd have to run the Custom Function with a hotkey or TitleBar Button instead of just using the normal Maximize though. If you're interested in trying that out, can you attach a copy of your Troubleshooting Info? Here are the steps:
  • Open the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Click the Copy to Clipboard button
  • Open Notepad, paste the text, and save the file
  • Reply with the text file attached

attached the troubleshooting file

the unchecking auto fill was pretty finicky but it did indeed work :D

Thanks! I believe the two attached Custom Functions will do what you're looking for. Just set them up, give them key combos, or assign them as TitleBar Buttons and give them a whirl.

I couldn't test them on a setup exactly the same as yours, so if anything's wonky, just let me know :)
