Is it possible and if so could someone please help with this? One of my functions keeps activating while in a game but I would prefer to keep the function's hotkey.

There isn't currently a way to disable key combinations while an app has focus, but I've added your vote to the feature request for that. We'll be sure to follow-up if/when we're able to implement it.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. Instead of while the app has focus, is it possible to ignore function(s) while a specific process is running then continue as normal when that process is no longer running?

No, sorry. The feature request is actually for adding a "disable key combinations" option in the Compatibility rules in DisplayFusion which would do as you're suggesting, disable them while the process is running.
