Ever since I downloaded display fusion I have been having occasional issues with just maximizing windows. When it happens if happens for every window I try sometimes and other times just for 1 window. Its like the part of the monitor doesnt exist anymore, even tough I still see my wallpaper. Sometimes just messing with it fixes it and others I have to restart my pc. It only happens occasionally and is super random but enough to be quite annoying. Im almost positive it has to do with display fusion. Any help would be appreciated.

Yeah for sure. Also forgot to mention sometimes this empty display area is at the top and sometimes its at the bottom of the monitor. Its always the same amount of space that stops working. Happens for both of my monitors. Its not happening atm. Files attached. Thanks!

Thanks for sending that over, everything looks good there. Could you send me over a debug log as well? Here are the steps:

  • On the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and click Apply
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

Thanks for sending that over. Can you update to our latest beta, and send me over a backup of your settings? You can grab them via the DisplayFusion Settings > Options > Export Settings.

Here's the link to the beta as well: https://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/

Just to update you its happening again even with the beta. Ive noticed it mainly happens when the screen turns back on after turning off after being idle.

Could you send me over another backup now that you've updated?

Yeah, the file is attached. I updated to the beta (10.1 beta 2) through the beta checkbox and updater inside display fusion because I purchased on steam and cant get the product activated if I download from the website.

Thanks for sending that over, I've been playing around with this on my end but I can't seem to reproduce it. Could you send me another copy of your troubleshooting info right after the issue happens, perferably before you fix it up? Here are the steps again for reference:

  • Open the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button
  • Reply with the file attached

Yeah here it is, its happening atm. I might try to uninstall it for awhile and see if that clears it up. I can guarantee that display fusion at-least started the issue. It first started within a day or two of me using it and ive used this pc for years without that issue. Been looking into this issue a myself too and im stumpted.

Thanks for sending that over, it looks like DisplayFusion is still reading your work area correctly. We have some changes coming up in our next beta that might help here, we'll let you know once it's released to test out.
