Hello, I'm simply trying to have my secondary dim immediately when it is inactive/not the current window. My setup is a dual monitor with a Primary display directly in front, and a secondary off the the left. To help my focus, I'd like the secondary display to dim to a set percentage (not totally black) whenever it is not the active display. Then immediately un-dim when I click over (not a 2 second delay). I do a lot of copying and pasting text when working with website & graphic design content.
Unless I'm missing something, the stock monitor fading settings don't seem to allow for this, as it will also dim my Primary when I click over OR it will continually dim the secondary display and not un-dim on click.
I've tried downloading and running the scripts for both of the "Fade All Monitors Except Primary" & "Fade All Monitors Except the Primary to Black". I've lcicked verify and it does so successfully, but when I run the script, it just seems to hang and doens't do anything (I give it 15-20 seconds to run before I cancel, I'm assuming that's not that typical behavior.
Does it matter what Fading mode it is set to with these scripted functions?

Using Windows 10

Thanks for any help!

This isn't currently possible, but we do have a feature request open to add more monitor fading functions for more granular control. I've added your vote to it, so we'll be sure to let you know if we have any news on it in the future.

Thanks!
