Display Fusion appears to be making my main monitor flicker. I have tried multiple cables, multiple ports on video card, display port connection, HDMI connection, single monitor setup only, double monitor setup, pretty much every option you can think of. I had given up on fixing the issue. I had to do a fresh install of Windows on a new M.2 HDD and it has taken me a couple weeks to get back to installing DF back on system. As soon as I installed DF, the random blink off and then back on started back. It has to be this software. I stopped it from running last night and have not had a single instance since starting work this morning. I have no other issues at all on pc, this is the only one... All drivers are current, no "bangs" in device manager, and no Windows updates are available. No other systme management software installed other than DF, and no software running on BETA that I am aware of, including DF. Please let me know what I can do to help pinpoint, really frustrating especially when gaming and screen blinks in a firefight.. not fun during estimating for work either...

System - Windows 11
AZROCK Phantom Gaming z590 4/ac+
Intel I9 10th gen 3.6GHZ, not OCed.
NVIDIA RTX 3080ti
64GB RAM
4TB M.2 HDD

Could you send me over a debug log? Here are the steps:

  • On the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and click Apply
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

Will do, I currently have it uninstalled trying to replicate while it is not installed in an effort to make sure it only occurs with DF installed. Will update soon as able, work is also being a little busy this week lol. THanks for the reply.

Well, it started again today without DF installed. I will have to continue my search. I have been trying to figure this out for weeks now. I found a thread last night that may be pointing me in the right direction. Apparently the RTX 3080ti cards specifically have a little trouble on anything over 120FPS that is above 1440p resolution (my monitor is a 144hz/4K display). Going to lock the framerate to 120 and see what happens. 120 is plenty, I bought the display for picture quality and HDR, most real 4K content is hard to push past 100fps, let alone 120. I am fine with the reduction in the FPS as I am not a competitive gamer. I will update once I narrow down and reinstall your software to make sure all is good.

Hello,
You can close the thread, I found the problem. Apparently with the RTX 3080ti it has a large plastic cover and some MOBO's do not play nice with it clipping all the way into the PCI slot... I found a thread talking about this and realized I took my PC apart to install new HDD and clean out case... The video card was maybe a mm from clipping all the way into the PCIE slot. I pushed it in (A little harder than I like..) and it snapped all the way in with a click. I have not had the issue no matter what I try to do or how many windows I have open since I did that. I am fairly confident that was the issue. Once I realized that, I started realizing other signs as well, everytime I moved my sit/stand desk it would blink, everytime the desk was bumbped, etc..just never put it together before as I had replaced all the cables and whatnot. Thank you for the response and the great software.
