I am currently trying out displayfusion, it seems like a great tool, but there is a major issue I hope you can help me with.

My configuration:
Win 7 x64
displayfusion 5.0
Ati Radeon HD 5770
2 Monitors (LG W2443T) and 1 TV (Panasonic)

My TV is sometimes disabled (not just standby) to save power which makes it invisible to the graphics card.

So basically I have two common scenarios:
2 Monitors (TV disabled) and 3 Monitors (TV enabled).

If I set up a monitor profile in one of the scenarios, it will not work correctly in the second. Either it gives me an error message when switching to the profile or it activates the wrong display(s).

I have three monitor profiles:
-Gaming (one monitor only)
-PC Dual (both monitors)
-TV Dual (TV and one monitor)

If for example I set up the Gaming profile with the TV plugged out, I choose monitor 2 as the active monitor.
But when I plug in the TV and switch to this profile, monitor 1 will become active.

Same mixup with the other profiles.

Can't I set up monitor profiles so that it identifies the correct monitors not by their "position" among the currently active monitors, but by some "unique monitor id" so that this kind of problems don't occur?

This may sound like a minor problem, but it's kind of a big deal for me that the profiles work coherently independent from the fact if the TV is plugged or not. If displayfusion can't do this I probably won't buy after the trial, which would be a shame because I like it so far.

Any feedback on this would be appreciated.

Is this normal behaviour for displayfusion? Or am I just doing something wrong?

I can't be the only one using it with different monitor setups...?

Sorry for the delay, I'm planning on testing this out here. I'll keep you posted on the results as soon as I get a chance to try it out.

Thanks!

Thank you, I hope there is some solution. Apart from this I am really delighted by DF so far. Makes life so much easier.

Could you attach two copies of the info from the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab? One copy when the TV is plugged in, and another copy when it's not?
