Hi,
since quite a while (no idea since when exactly) I notice two issues with something that worked very well in the past:
After a computer reboot, first time I try to use this function it takes ages (well, ok, couple of seconds) to execute. Sometimes I already moved my mouse to another window, so when it finally triggers, it applies to something else than what I wanted it to apply to, which causes more clicks and waiting time...
Any subsequent execution at a later point in time, even hours later, works just quick without any noticable delay. Any information on what causes that delay on the first time and if it can be avoided?
The above applies to when using keyboard shortcuts to trigger it. I also have the title bar buttons for it, but their behavior is even more strange. When clicking on them, literally nothing happens, except for the cursor jumping to another title bar button and sitting there.
I have 5 title bar buttons in total, leftmost two are the move to monitor ones, the three others work fine. When clicking any of the leftmost two, the cursor jumps over to the middle one. I tried changing order, just to see what that does, but it stays the same, the two move buttons do not work, even if one of them is the middle button itself, in which case cursor will stay in its place.
the machine I notice this on is on the beta. I have another machine on regular 9.8 where I do not see this behavior, just not sure if there is a relation, I did not (yet) go the painful path to install other versions.
Our latest beta included some changes to pre-compile functions when DisplayFusion starts. We had noted some issues with scripting functions not pre-compiling, but it sounds like it's happening with your built in functions as well. I've noted down your contact information, so we'll be sure to let you know if we have any news on it in the future.
This issue should be fixed up in the latest beta, available here: https://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta. Please let me know if you still run into any trouble after updating.
