I'm having an odd issue that seems to have just started with a recent Windows update - my multi-monitor taskbar sometimes disappears completely, as if DisplayFusion was not running, even though it is enabled in DF.

Quitting and relaunching DisplayFusion fixes this issue, but it seems to happen somewhat regularly.

I'm running Windows 10.

We've got a new beta coming soon to fix this, but in the meantime, please try out this build: http://www.binaryfortress.com/Files/DisplayFusion/DisplayFusionSetup-9.2.3.exe

Thanks! I'll give that a try and let you know if the issue clears up.

That seems to have done the trick; I haven't had the issue happen again. Thanks, again.

This appears to be happening to me with the latest version of DisplayFusion on a new Windows 10 20H2 install.

Hi Robbie,

Are you running our latest beta version? If not, can you try updating and let me know if the issue persists?

Thanks!

I've installed it. I'll see what happens. It happens overnight when I come back in to work the toolbar on monitors 2 & 3 are gone. I stop DisplayFusion and restart it and they come back.

So after installing the beta version the problem went away. Last week there was a new release and I was prompted to install it. I did and the problem has started back again. I just checked the build that is now installed is 9.8.

Hi Robbie,

Could you send me over a debug log? Here are the steps:

  • On the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and click Apply
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

Thanks!

I've applied the logging. I can't reproduce the issue. It occurs overnight when I'm not here. I come in to work in the morning and the taskbar is gone. It was that way when I came in this morning. So I'm assuming it will be like that again tomorrow morning.

Hi Jesus,

Is this issue only happening to you on beta 3?

Thanks!

Hi Jesus,

If you enable "Allow taskbar reloading while full screen applications are running" in the DisplayFusion Settings > Taskbar tab, does that help?

Thanks!
