Windows 8.1
DisplayFusion Pro 7.3.2

I use several Chrome shortcuts that open webpages as Chrome Apps. Noticed after installing DisplayFusion that when my main Chrome browser window was on any non-primary screen the icon for it on the taskbar mirrored the Chrome App icon that I had open.

When using Taskbar Mode: "All taskbars show relevant windows" moving the Chrome window to the primary screen shows the correct Chrome icon on the primary taskbar. Moving it back to a side window shows the incorrect icon on that taskbar.
Changing mode to: "All taskbars show all windows" shows Chrome icon on main taskbar and simultaneously incorrect icon on side taskbar.

I realized I had the Chrome app open when I installed DisplayFusion, so I uninstalled and reinstalled DisplayFusion (wiping out all settings/preferences) but had all applications closed at the time. I opened Chrome as a browser and it worked correctly, showing the Chrome icon on all windows. I closed Chrome, opened my Chrome app, then after that point it again displays the incorrect icon.

Edit:
I also found Windows 8.1 Modern apps were not shown on secondary taskbars even with "All taskbars show all windows" set.
Right clicking my Windows button on a secondary screen also showed the WinX right click menu on the main screen instead of the screen I right clicked it on.
Due to these issues I just disabled the DisplayFusion multimonitor taskbar and went back to the Windows one, which works fine in all of these cases.

Would you be able to send a debug log for the Chrome icon issue?
  • On the Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L2: Log Detailed"
  • Restart DisplayFusion
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Send us the DisplayFusion.log and DebugInfo.html files (can be found by clicking the Open Log button on the Troubleshooting tab)
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

For the Modern apps, which ones aren't showing up on the DF taskbar? Or is it all of them?

The right-click issue can be fixed by enabling the "Move the Power User menu" option on the DisplayFusion Settings > Windows 8 tab.

Thanks!
