I'm having an issue with monitor profiles that I can't figure out. I'm using 3 monitors with a docking station and they change sequence each time I plug it in. Before 9.2+ I had multiple monitor profiles saved where it would load the appropriate wallpapers and such based on the monitor sequence. When I try to save a new profile now it prompts me to overwrite the existing profile instead of giving me the option to save a new one.

Is this an issue or what do I need to do to allow for multiple monitor configurations?

Could you attach screenshots of the Monitor Configuration window when the monitor IDs are in one order, and then again when they're in a different order?

It switched again... My wallpaper is on the corresponding monitors, but it's not in the order I want because the monitors changed sequence.

Thanks for the update! We know what's causing this, but not quite sure how to fix it yet because it's due to the changes we made to the Monitor Profile saving/detection code. I will keep you updated when we have more news.

Just a quick update on this. We have an idea on how to fix this, but it will be a significant amount of work. We likely won't fit it into the next release, but we will target the release after that. I'll be sure to keep you posted as soon as we have a beta with a fix to test out.

Thanks!

I've been testing this and it lets me save multiple profiles for wallpapers, but when it comes to monitor configurations it tries to save over an existing profile despite it not matching the detected profile.

Attached is a screenshot of the Monitor Configuration thinking that it is profile named Triple (1-3-2), but as you can see the monitors are actually 2-1-3 which I need to save a new profile for so that I can fix the wallpaper.

Yeah, we need to have a fallback to using the monitor IDs for the Monitor Config instead of the new way that we do it. Do you want a link to the 9.1 installer so that you can roll back until we can get this sorted out?

That's not necessary, I'll make due with what I have... More of a personal annoyance right now than anything since I know you guys are actively working on it. Thank you for taking the time to respond and provide feedback. I love your product and communication.
