I've done this in linux / Kubuntu - and I'd LOVE to have this feature in windows..

I've got 6 monitors, they are stacked in two rows of 3.. I'd like to have task-bars at the bottom of each of the bottom 3 monitors, and they would show windows open on both the top and bottom monitor of that vertical row..

for example - i've attached my layout:

- a task bar on monitor 5 for both monitors 5 and 6.
- a task bar on monitor 1 for both monitors 1 and 2.
- a task bar on monitor 3 for both monitors 3 and 4.

Anyway to do this with the current beta?

Otherwise - I'm loving the software (already purchased) - I'm a previous UltraMON user and had been using that since WAY back when I had 2, then 3, then 4 CRT's ;)..

Next Im' going to look for a good mouse gesture app for windows so I can replicate my Linux setup in windows 7..

You can barely see the taskbars in this video, but I'm doing what I mention above there:

It sounds like you want the Taskbar to span multiple monitors, but unfortunately this isn't possible right now. DisplayFusion uses a standard Windows docked appbar to give it a taskbar-like appearance, but these can only be placed on one monitor and can't span multiple monitors. This is a technical limitation in Windows, and would require some significant re-engineering in DisplayFusion to make it possible, sorry. :(

Not exactly one taskbar to span multiple monitors, but a taskbar that is visiable on only one monitor but shows windows / apps open on the two monitors its assigned for.

so in this monitor layout (numbers represent monitors) (so 3 monitors across, two rows high)

6 2 4
5 1 3

monitor 5 would have a taskbar at the bottom of it - that would show the windows placed on monitors 6 and 5.. there is no taskbar on monitor 6.
monitor 1 would have a taskbar at the bottom of it - that would show the windows placed on monitors 2 and 1.. there is no taskbar on monitor 2.
monitor 3 would have a taskbar at the bottom of it - that would show the windows placed on monitors 4 and 3.. there is no taskbar on monitor 3.

so there is a total of 3 seperate taskbars.. none of them spam multiple monitors - but they do show windows open on their two assigned monitors.

Hope that clears it up..

In linux its possible to do this by making the dock (taskbar) assigned to a fake monitor that is really the combination/size of the two monitors..

Thanks!

Sorry for the late reply, but I've had this on my to-do list for too long for investigation. I've decided not to pursue this functionality for now, but I've kept it on my list for the future. :)
