When I am using multiplicity in a multi-monitor setup and using displayfusion, I put the connection screen on one of the secondary monitors. When I do that, the multiplicity icon keeps "popping up" on the main monitor taskbar. It does it continuously, coming and going. There is an icon on the secondary monitor's taskbar. This action goes away if I exit out of displayfusion and starts up again if I start displayfusion back up. This behavior did not occur under multiplicity 3. None of my other programs have exhibited this behavior.

Could you send me a debug log? Here are the steps:

  • On the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and then click "Clear Log"
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

Thanks for sending that over, I was able to reproduce it here so we've added it to our list to look into.

Thanks!

Could you try out this test build and let me know if it fixes this up? https://www.binaryfortress.com/Data/Download/?Package=displayfusion&test-12-0-2-B2=1&Log=0

Unfortunately we've found that we can't fix this issue. Multiplicity is constantly trying to add itself back to the Windows taskbar. I would recommend contacting Stardock support to let them know if this issue as they likely have a reason it's doing that, but it's not something that we can work around from our end.

Ok, thank you for looking at it. My apologies for not being able to try out the test build but I am unable to get on the computer until the weekend due to work.
