Hello! There was a bug in 12.0.2 Beta 10 that was causing DisplayFusion to crash. If you update to Beta 11 this issue should be fixed up.

Thanks!

Is it the DisplayFusion system tray icon that's missing? Or all tray icons?

Could you attach a debug log for this?

  • On the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and then click "Clear Log"
  • Restart DisplayFusion
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

Thanks!

I found the issue.

There's an app called butterytaskbar that was causing the conflict. This app hides the original Windows taskbar. This allowed me to only have the DisplayFusion taskbar.

Is there any way to permanently hide the original taskbar natively in DisplayFusion?

There isn't, no. Some of the taskbar elements like the tray icons and stuff require the Windows taskbar to be visible for us to read and show them. We haven't found a way around that unfortunately.
