When I switch from choosing a single wallpaper to random ones, it loses my settings. I'd like to be able to set up many different 'profiles' that will remember individual settings. That way I can have one Random setting and a hundred others for good pairs of wallpapers. As it is now, I need to sift through a hundred wallpapers each time I feel like changing things. I'd like to be able to save my settings each time I come up with a good combo.

I like this idea - a way to select single or double (depending upon whether I ma using 1 or 2 monitors) and being able to save my top X number of Wps / double WPs wold b great.

Wallpaper profiles are definitely coming to DisplayFusion soon, I've been trying to work out the best way to handle them. :)

Thank you! This is why I paid for DisplayFusion. Things are constantly getting improved and you guys are extremely open to feedback.

On that note, version 3.1.6 final was just released. I'm hoping to include the profiles feature in 3.2, but we'll see how complicated things get first. :)

This is awesome. I was just coming to these forums to recommend this. I am glad to hear it is going to be added eventually. One request, can you make the random selector select profiles randomly also. So we can set up display fusion to always display images we want to be displayed together. If you think about this, it would allow you to customize what images it displays together indefinitely.

It would be nice to have a new tab, profiles, where you can check off which profiles you want Display Fusion to select from. Once it chooses a profile, it only chooses images from within that profile for the current wallpaper change. This would allow us to set up profiles for dark, light, color and even the type of wallpapers. With this system I could finally set up Display Fusion to display my images in groups that make sense. Instead of randomly displaying a bright sunny day on one monitor and a dark night on the other. I could just group images in profiles so that it selects them together. However, I have no idea how this would affect performance...

One last thing... it makes more sense to call them 'Galleries' instead of profiles.

@Photonic: Thank you for the feedback, I'll take this into consideration when designing the profiles feature. The first version including profiles may not have all the bells & whistles, but I'll have to start somewhere. :)

I understand, and thank you. As I said, even a basic profile system would be really nice. At least then I could manually change them every day or so.

I just wanted to let you know that this feature has been planned for inclusion in version 3.1.8 or 3.1.9. Thanks!

Jon, this is excellent news! I found this thread after searching for 'wallpaper profiles.' This was the only feature missing from DisplayFusion that I really missed when I moved from Ultramon.

Regards and good luck.

I have had to move this feature to the 3.1.9 release, as the 3.1.8 release is taking more expected. Don't worry though, it's coming very soon. :)

Jon,

That's not a problem for me. I'm sure that I can manage for a few months manually setting up wallpapers each time I wish to change

Good luck with the development.
