Just discovered DisplayFusion today and loving it! I've used extended monitors for years and have always struggled.

I love the idea of opening applications in specific locations. Is there a way to extend this to a specific shortcut or file? For example, I work with several specific Excel files on a daily basis, and would love it if I could somehow open them in the same place and size each day.

Right now, I open one, position and resize it, then open the next and position and resize it, etc.

It's not currently possible, but it should be in the future. We'll be sure to let you know when it is possible to do :)

In the meantime, you can create custom Functions on the Settings > Functions tab to position the windows in their exact places just by using a key combo, or TitleBar Button. For more info on creating custom Functions, see this page: http://www.displayfusion.com/KB/CustomFunctions/

Hope that helps!

Ok, in the latest version of DisplayFusion, you can download scripted functions, or make your own. We've put a sample one in there for you, called "Open Multiple Excel Files on Multiple Monitors." Just click 'Download Scripted' on the Settings > Functions tab, then double-click that script to download it.

Make sure to edit the list of Excel files at the top of the script, then give it a hotkey and you should be all set :)

Thanks!
