Long and hairy. O0 Sorry!

This may be hard to describe, but it is very reproducible. Here goes:

 • Minimize an application to the task bar.
 • Open an application that allows you to do mouse drag scrolling, e.g., Adobe Reader with the hand cursor enabled.
 • Scroll a document but don't stop at the top of the app, but still holding down the left mouse button, go to the task bar.
 • Hover over a minimized program.
 • The minimized program restores itself.
What is wrong could be a number of things, so here goes:

 • You can only unhide a hidden XP Windows task bar by hovering over it without a mouse button down. DF shows the hidden task bar anyway. (Note that the DF problem occurs whether the task bar is initially hidden or not.)
 • If a mouse is down over the XP Windows task bar (and you aren't clicking a task bar icon to cause the mouse to be down), you cannot cause a program to restore. DF causes the DF task bar icon to activate and start blinking if the program is not minimized. If it is minimized, DF restores the program.
There you go. And now a bonus bug:

While trying to describe the problem above, I changed the properties of the Windows task bar so it didn't auto-hide. The DF task bar did not follow suit, so I went into DF properties, figuring it was a setting. There wasn't one for auto-hide (and I remember the discussion we had months ago about that). So I played with the Taskbar Mode drop down, pressed Apply (got nothing), and finally pressed the Reset All Task Bars button. That did it. The DF taskbar dropped down, but it lost the XP color then (looking like a Windows 2000 task bar). I reset the Windows task bar to auto-hide, but again the DF task bar wouldn't follow suit. But when I closed the DF settings, the DF task bar hide then reshowed itself, this time in XP color themes.
So I decided to exit DF and start it again. And then things went very strange. Only a picture can do justice to this. Some of the icons are on are monitor left (DF task bar), no icons on a monitor middle (Windows task bar), and the rest of the icons not on monitor left are on monitor right (DF task bar). Closing DF restores the Windows task bar to normalcy.

Again, I have a DisplayFusion.log that is 1/4 of a MB in size and cannot open it. So to help out, I exited DF at this point in the narrative, renamed the extant log, and started DF. DF came up and displayed the task bars as shown in the picture. I then duplicated the original incident in above. I then quit DF. The resulting log is what is attached.

Hope this is intelligible....

For the record, the taskbar autohide option is accessed by right clicking the taskbars themselves.

Jon,

Um, while there is still some buggy stuff going on, one part was a misunderstanding. I just realized that you added a new feature (or one I was unaware of) that puts "relevant" windows on a task bar. I now know that means only the windows that are on that monitor - this is what my attached picture shows. That explains that, and though it isn't for me, I understand that isn't a bug.

I also now know that auto-hide for DF is a right-click option. (@Kevin F, thanks.) So you can ignore that, too.

The drag and activate problem is still a bug, as is the lose-of-theme problem I detailed. Not sure that you can catch the latter, though. Keep up the good work.

Thank you for following-up about the other issues you were having. The drag and activate issue is something I am aware of, and I'm hoping to tackle it in a future release. Unfortunately, it's not as easy to fix as it may appear without crippling other functionality.. :(
